Hans Sandgren Jakobsen

Hans Sandgren Jakobsen focuses on creating new furniture for a new era.

Hans Sandgren Jakobsen was originally edducated as a cabinetmaker (1986) and a designer from the Danish School of Design (1990). With a preference for the Scandinavian design tradition and a starting point in a bright and light design universe, Hans Sandgren Jakobsen explores the potential of the materials and challenges the technology behind the production. Among other things, this has resulted in the creation of the AK1020 Turning Boxes, which has gained great international attention for its sculptural and innovative expression, and has now been put into production by the Naver Collection.

“A good design consists of function, aesthetics and innovation. It must be able to be broken, be beautiful and innovation means that you use the material in a new perspective. ”
